Information for Caterers

Essential information for caterers, including guidelines, requirements, and procedures for a smooth and successful service at the event.

Commercial food and coffee sites are allocated through a tender process. To apply you need to download and complete the Caterers Application and mail or email the application to us.

Sites available for caterers are shown on the TFD site map as T1, T2 etc. Your tender form must include entry tickets for your staff – no one enters the event without a ticket. Some sites have a higher traffic flow (such as in Eat Street) and therefore attract higher tender prices. If you want to discuss this please call the Tocal Field Days Manager on (02) 4939 8820 who will provide a guide based on previous years. We are unable to disclose any current tenders.

All food businesses in NSW including those involved in temporary events must either hold a current NSW Food Authority licence or notify the Authority of their food activity details. For further information visit the NSW Food Authority website or Maitland City Council website.

You can select a range of sites on one application so if you miss out on your first choice you may still get your second or third option. You can put a different price for different sites. If you have more than one catering van and you hope to be allocated more than one site you will need to complete more than one form.

Power is limited in some areas so you need to be realistic in outlining your power requirements otherwise you may arrive and find we are unable to adequately power your site.
