Where do I belong?
There are a number of different areas within the Tocal Field Days site. There are restrictions on who can exhibit in some areas. The following guidelines should help you understand where your business might do best.
Good Food & Wine
Good Food & Wine sites are filled by invitation. The sites are subsidised by TFD and cost less than commercial sites of the same size. There are two areas for the Good Food and Wine exhibitors – in the hall and just outside the hall on the lawn. See map for reference.
Outside exhibitors need to supply their own marquee but we do provide a large marquee that provides cover for the visitors.
Exhibitors in the Good Food and Wine area are for gourmet food, wine, beer and value added produce. A place where visitors can sample food and beverages and the exhibitor is able to talk to customers and provide a background for the product and its origins.
Sites in this area are hotly sought after and are usually the first to sell out.
Craft and Lifestyle
Craft sites are subsidised by Tocal Field Days and are less than commercial sites of the same size. There is a craft marquee, outdoor sites and sites under verandas. The ‘Lifestyle’ marquee is situated adjacent to the Craft marquee. To be eligible for a site at the reduced rate in the Craft area exhibitors need to make 75% of their product. This reduced rate is also available to Craft exhibitors who are located in the Lifestyle marquee.
All other exhibitors located in this area pay commercial rates.
Livestock Sites
Livestock sites are heavily subsidised by Tocal Field Days and are less than commercial sites of the same size. The subsidised fee only applies if you area a society or association and the profit from the items you are selling is wholly retained by your association.
This area is for exhibitors showing livestock and includes chickens, goats, sheep and cattle.
Land, Plants & Environment Precinct
This area contains Community Organisations, Department of Primary Industry, Local Land Services, Maitland Council ‘Weeds’ and Safe-Work NSW. A number of commercial sites are located in this area. There are also a number of 3m x 3m sites sponsored by Local Land Services available for Associations and not-for-profit Organisations. Applicants for these sites should contact Eva Twarkowski on 02 4938 4930 to discuss their eligibility.
Commercial sites in this area best suit exhibitors with plants, residential gardening equipment, gardening products, green houses, worm farms and bee keeping equipment.
