For the first time in 41 years, Tocal Livestock Enterprise is thrilled to introduce its inaugural Paddock to Plate Experience—a celebration of sustainable farming, premium beef production, and hands-on agricultural education.

The Tocal Beef Team has been dedicated to refining herd genetics and Estimated Breeding Values (EBVs), incorporating new bloodlines from the renowned Palgrove Ultra Black Bulls. As a result, the enterprise has successfully bred high-quality stock that showcases their commitment to excellence—now ready to be shared with supporters of Tocal Agricultural College and visitors to the Tocal Field Days.

The Paddock to Plate Experience will offer attendees the opportunity to sample mother-reared, grass-fed veal beef, aged between 7 to 9 months—a true testament to Tocal’s dedication to sustainable and ethical farming. Visitors can enjoy these premium selections at two exclusive locations:

  • Bruce Urquhart Skills Arena – Available Friday only
  • Tocal VIP Marquee – Axeman’s Arena. Available Saturday and Sunday

Integral to this initiative is the hands-on involvement of Tocal College students, who play a significant role in the breeding process, calf marking (held in May and October), and overall livestock management. Their participation ensures they gain valuable real-world experience in animal husbandry, setting them on the path to becoming future leaders in the agriculture industry.

Tocal Livestock Enterprise has proudly collaborated with Tocal Student Association, Kurri Kurri Meatworks, and Paterson Butchery to bring this experience to life. Through this partnership, visitors can enjoy locally sourced, high-quality beef, while supporting the next generation of agricultural professionals.

With excitement building, Tocal Livestock Enterprise invites all attendees of Tocal Field Days to be part of this historic moment—celebrating 41 years of dedication to excellence in Australian livestock farming.
